As a property photographer, I live for finding the dopest places to capture across the U.S., and I can honestly say that nothing beats the rentals near Joshua Tree National Park, including Joshua Tree, Pioneertown, and Yucca Valley. I’ve had the chance to stay at some of these epic spots, and I’m stoked to share the most iconic ones with you for your next trip to Joshua Tree. Whether you’re visiting the National Park, planning a getaway with friends, a romantic weekend, or just want to experience something different, this area has it all.

Joshua Tree is only 2.5 hours from Los Angeles, 3 hours from San Diego, and 3.5 hours from Vegas, making it the perfect spot for your next adventure.

The Outlaw: Pioneertown

Check out one of the wildest spots you’ll ever stay at! The Outlaw has everything, including the coolest lounging deck and a HUGE saloon perfect for entertaining. Sleep in a converted train car bedroom, take an outdoor shower, or relax by one of the two propane firepits. The fully-loaded kitchen and floor-to-ceiling windows make the space super inviting. Don’t miss the funky church art installation and hiking trails right on the property.

You’re just a minute’s walk to Pioneertown & Pappy & Harriet’s, and 20 minutes to Joshua Tree National Park. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and comfort, just a short walk to all the action in Pioneertown!

The Invisible House

An architectural icon, Invisible House is one of the most sought-after properties in Joshua Tree. As seen in design and lifestyle publications worldwide, this mirrored 22 story horizontal skyscraper virtually disappears into the vast desert landscape. Floor-to-ceiling sliding doors and windows provide unparalleled panoramic desert views and the 100-foot indoor pool luxuriously contrasts with the High Desert surroundings. Set on 90 private acres with its own 4000 ft mountain, it’s no wonder that Invisible House is a favorite destination among artists, spiritual seekers and those longing to connect with the natural world.

Villa Suenos

Tucked at the foothills of Joshua Tree National Park, Villa Sueños is a fully remodeled 3-bedroom, 2-bath desert escape designed for pure relaxation. This serene oasis invites you to unwind, reset, and soak up the beauty of the high desert.

I loved my stay here; it might honestly be one of my favorite rentals in all of Joshua Tree. From the patio, you get incredible views of the rock formations and some of the most stunning sunrises and sunsets right from your backyard. The decor was modern boho chic perfection. I left wanting to remodel my house to look just like it. Truly, the perfect Joshua Tree stay.
